Last night at the monthly meeting of my Greater Phoenix NARI Chapter, I was presented with my new universal design professional certification.

I joined the National Association of the Remodeling Industry five years ago in order to take advantage of their advanced professional training in building science and remodeling.

In that time I have not only become a Green Certified Professional, they have also allowed me to lead their organization as this years President. I am honored and grateful for the continued opportunity for my personal and professional growth.

Universal Design is NARI's newest area of remodeling education and certification. As of today I am the only Arizona remodeler to have been recognized by NARI as either a Green Certified Professional or a Universal Design Certified Remodeler.

By investing the time and energy into NARI's Universal Design Certified Remodeler education we will be able to include even more focus on the unique needs of each client. The application of Universal Design is most obvious when homeowners have special needs, but it's concepts apply across the broad range everyday life of all of our clients.

Just like my Green Certified Professional designation has not made our work more expensive, The Universal Design Certified Remodeler designation will only increase our professional value and service to our clients. I look forward to bringing these qualities to our clients in Phoenix and it' surrounding communities of Scottsdale. Tempe, Chandler Ahwatukee, Gilbert, Glendale an Mesa.

Happy New Year!  From all of us at Homework Remodels, we certainly hope that your year is off to great start.  For us, it certainly is.

Those of you that know me know that I have always strived to improve my remodeling knowledge and performance. This year will be no exception in my professional journey.

Some years ago I joined the local National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) in order to take advantage of their educational opportunities and associate with other professional remodelers who have the highest professional ethics and performance standards.

As soon as I walked in to my first meeting, I was greeted by Wayne Minde co-owner of Tri-Lite Builders.  He represented every professional accomplishment that I aspired to achieve all rolled into one. He and his wife Linda had won numerous remodeling awards, certifications, designations and led a company that is well respected by their clients and other professionals across the country for their success and professionalism.

Wayne made me feel at home and demonstrated that I had made a good choice in joining NARI for my continued professional development. Over the years my wife Sally and I have developed a strong friendship with Wayne and his wife Linda Minde.

My association with NARI and friendship with Wayne and Linda continues to open the door to professional development. This year I have been elected by my associates to lead our NARI chapter as their President. I consider this a great honor, responsibility, and a continuing opportunity for personal growth.

This year, the time has come for Wayne Minde to retire from the leadership of his company. I have agreed to take over leadership of Tri-Lite Builders as well as continue to lead Homework Remodels.

Tri-Lite Builders is one of the premiere remodeling companies of Arizona. They have been serving the valley for twenty seven years. My intention is to continue their example of quality service to homeowners across the valley for years to come through both Tri-Lite Builders and Homework Remodels.

Linda Minde has been a driving force in the company and will remain in her current role at Tri-Lite, continuing to spearhead community outreach, marketing and client relations efforts for the company.

I am looking forward to a great year working with homeowners across the valley to make their homes even more livable.

Call me with any questions!  Once again - Happy New Year from our entire team!
