CotY Award Winning Interior Remodel

These are some of the after photos of our home remodel that was awarded  the 2011 CotY award for an interior remodel under $100,000 by the Greater Phoenix Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.

It's a Spanish Colonial style home in the historic Willo neighborhood in central Phoenix built in 1928. The space was originally a semi enclosed outdoor area that had been improperly enclosed by previous owners. The present owners wanted to create a room that would complement their unique home and give them an additional family and entertaining area.

Our largest challenge in this interior remodel was to open the floor plan by removing a large load bearing soffit area that divided the area in two. The more fun parts were to design and install the new free-form steps and the hand carved ceiling beams that mirror the original ceiling in the next room. Other unique features include the Manganese Mexican floor tiles, the hand painted Mexican accent tiles, the hand made front windows, and the faux finished wall painting.

The project included rebuilding the space to open the floor plan, plus various structural and cosmetic work. To see detailed before, during and after photos along with their detailed descriptions visit our Award Winning Interior Remodel.
